FAQs

I don’t have a coach rating—can I still take the course?

Yes, you can take the classroom portion. The course teaches you how to coach formation skydiving safely and effectively, but the USPA Coach rating covers additional safety, landing, and gear material.

What if I’m not sure I’m ready to coach?

That’s exactly what this course is for: to teach you what to coach, how to coach it, and build your confidence. If you are still not feeling confident, reach out at christy@furycoaching.com to discuss your options.

Do I have to come to Perris for the practical?

Yes, the Practical Jump Clinic is on-site at Skydive Perris. A coach rating is required for the practical.

What happens if I miss a session?

All sessions are recorded. Missing one is fine with a makeup plan; missing more than one may require deferring to the next cohort.

Will this make me a tunnel coach?

No—but tunnel flyers benefit from the coaching fundamentals, structured teaching, and clear language you’ll master here.

I've watched Christy develop as a competitor and coach for 17 years and I've seen her do this again and again. There is one risk when working with her. You're going to want more, lots more!
