Four Great Resources for Jumping at a New DZ

Jumping at a new dropzone is a giant milestone in your jumping career. I wanted to write about it, but I found four amazing resources already out there as I was researching. So instead of reinventing the wheel, I’m excited to share them here.

A fantastic article that points out everything you should consider when jumping at a new dropzone. The tips are especially beneficial – things you might not realize if you haven’t traveled skydiving.

Catherine Bennier walks you through the consideration with energy and clarity. These steps focus on what to do when you arrive with less focus on the preparation. It is an easy to watch walk-through of how to get the lay of the land.

Jumping at  New DZ – Your Battle Plan by Annette O’Neil

This article is a nice concise checklist. It doesn’t have thorough explanations, but it is easy to scan and practical to use before you make your visit.

This video isn’t about visiting a new DZ but a primer on how to enjoy your first boogie. So if you are traveling for the first time to a boogie, this is a great addition.
